Bob was a great guy with a unique sense of humor. His analytical approach was an example of his keen insight and real-lfe experiences. My wife (sister to Janice) and I will miss The Commander. Our prayers are with him as he rests in peace.

Dear Sandy,
My sympathy to you and your family from Florida. My brother Tom was a contemporary of Bob's so I got to know him as I tagged along with that post WWII "East Chicago bunch". When I came of age, Bob would take the time to talk to "Little Quinn".
God bless all of you.

I have very fond memories of the Commander. I am the daughter of Kenneth Hutchins (Hutch) My Dad and the Commander were very good friends. I remember the day we laid my Father to rest The Commander put his famous Caesar Salad recipe in the casket just before we closed it and said "It lives on with you now Hutch". And to this day we still don't know what the recipe is. He would never give to anyone. My condolences go out the family he will truly be missed by many. I have many memories and hand written stories by him up in Michigan. These will be fondly cherished by all the Hutchins family and the Snowmobile Trip Guys. I'm sure the Commander and Hutch are up in heaven right now planning their next dinner and who knows what else.
