Robert Sidock, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Saturday January 18, 2025 peacefully at his home in La Porte, IN.
Robert was born March 4, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of George Sidock and Mary (Michuda) Sidock, who both preceded him in death.
A proud alumnus of St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, Indiana, he graduated with a bachelor's degree that laid the groundwork for a successful career. Robert excelled as a sales manager at Bell Fibre, where he was highly respected for his work ethic and dedication to his profession. Robert's life also included a period of honorable military service. He served in the Army from 1964 to 1970, where he demonstrated bravery and dedication to his country. On July 23, 1966 at St. John Bosco in Hammond, Indiana, Robert married the love of his life, Sandra (Salczynski) Sidock, who survives. Robert enjoyed bowling, golfing, and had a wicked sense of humor that will long be remembered by everyone he met. As an avid sports fan, his enthusiasm for sports brought him joy and allowed him to connect with friends and family alike. Above all, Robert cherished his time spent with loved ones, always ensuring that family was a central part of his life.
He is survived by three daughters, Narcine (Roger) Eggert of La Porte, IN, Erica (Patrick) McDonald of Gibsonia, PA, Nicole Sidock of Davenport, IA; six grandchildren, Garrett Eggert, Quinlan Eggert, Reece Eggert, Reilly McDonald, Shawn McDonald, Owen McDonald. He also leaves behind a large extended family.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN. Celebration of life will be held at a later time. Cremation has taken place.
