ROBERT M. "BOB" TUTKO PORTAGE, IN
Robert M. "Bob" Tutko, age 68 of Portage, IN passed away on July 11th, 2015. He was born on September 7th, 1946 in Twin Rocks, PA to John and Anna (Mohnal) Tutko who preceded him in death. On April 15, 1972, Bob married Patti (Benyacko) Tutko, his wife of 43 years who survives of Portage. He is also survived by his daughters: Dawn (Matt) Shepard of Valparaiso, and Tammy (Eric) Chasko of Chesterton; grandchildren: Allison, Carley, Andrew, Ethan, Dominick, Sam and Alexis; brother, John (Arlene) Tutko of FL; sister, Elizabeth (Don) James of KY; best friend, Dennis Weeks; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Bob was a longtime area resident, and retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years of service. He was a United States Army Veteran and a member of Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church. He loved his grandchildren; he was their #1 cheerleader and will be remembered as the best Papa ever. Bob enjoyed sports. He was an avid Trap Shooter and a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. A Mass of Christian Burial for Bob will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity of Our Savior Catholic Church, 2949 Willowcreek Rd., Portage, IN 46368 with Father Andrew Corona officiating. Burial will follow at Heritage Cemetery, Portage IN. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home, 6941 Central Ave., Portage, IN with a Wake Service scheduled in the evening.
