I was a friend and coworker of Ron's. WJOB radio program host of Region Bandstand paid homage to Ron and his band Saturdays Children this past summer. When I heard his music I felt his presence as I had called into the show to request one of his songs. The host stated your friend Ron lives on through his music. Thank you WJOB.

Jeff Boyan now joins Ronnie, his songwriting partner, in a "choir of angels". They are once again reunited, too soon to leave us tho. We will cherish the memories, photos & songs they left us with.

Just found this! I can't believe Ron's gone! I shall miss him, as he was a good friend and musician. 'You Don't Know Better' is the best Chicago-area song from the 6o's by far.

Knew Ronnie very very long ago in that late 60s bubble. He was kind and sweet and I can only imagine what a great dad he became. I have remembered his gentle attitude all these years. Praying for his family and friends.

Ronnie was always the coolest cousin. I have so many wonderful memories even though we were 10 years apart.
I am sure that your parents, my parents, my brother, Chooch, Uncle Joe, Grandma and Irene & Glenny were all there to meet you when you arrived. I will see you again one day cuz.
And again I would like to send my deepest, sincere condolences to all of the rest of your family and friends.

RON..was such an awesome guy..super talented guitarist, a great friend to my husband, ALAN and helped us here at our home with a few projects, shared lunch time here at our home when working for Hammond, shared laughs and stories and music and always brought something by when he visited like beverages to share and I received heartfelt Christmas gifts a few times from him which meant much to me. He seemed to look into issues and people a little deeper and appreciate the simple things in life and know what was really important on this earth! I have missed seeing him and had thought of him often.. So sorry that Alan and I got so busy with our lives that time had passed with RON.. He is truly missed and hey, I really liked the guy! David Zaja sends his condolences to the Holder Family from Hendersonville, NC. His lifelong friendship with Ron was highlighted last year during a summer stay in NW Indiana that included Christian fellowship and great jam sessions.

Ron was a friend and co worker of mine at the City of Hammond. He lived a life that most of us would envy. He played in a rockin roll band, wrote music, worked as paramedic in Houston, and as an industrial engineer with the Hammond Department of Envronmental. I ejoyed playing golf with him and listening to stories about his rock in roll days. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

I was so saddened to hear of Ron's sudden passing. He was a lifelong friend of my brother, Cary and always a great spirit and gentle soul. His presence will certainly be missed in this world.

Our sympathy to the Holder family. As a former co-worker, we shared his love of music and guitar playing, especially Beatles songs. We will miss his humor, his quick wit, his good-natured ways, and the stories of his band-playing days. He was always very proud of his three girls. He will be missed.
