Ronald Krok Obituary
Ronald T. Krok, 74 of Kouts passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 peacefully in his home. He was born March 31, 1941 in Gary, IN, the son of the late Steve and Anne (Svatner) Krok. Ron retired as a millwright from Bethlehem Steel. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kouts, the Valparaiso Moose Lodge, a strong supporter of the Share Foundation of Rolling Prairie, an avid Notre Dame Fan, and enjoyed playing cards with friends. On October 30, 1965 in Gary, Ron married Janet Mueller who preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by his children: Karen (Doug) Hasler of Elkhart, Patti Krok of Rolling Prairie, Michelle (Brandon) Zabukovic of South Bend, and Steve Krok of Kouts; seven grandchildren: Rebecca, Oliver, Eleanor, Agnes, and Quincy Hasler and Ezra and Saul Zabukovic; and his sister, Carol (John) Venckus of Galesville, WI. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Mary Catholic Church 402 E. Indiana Ave., Kouts with Fr. Thomas T. Tibbs officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Kosanke Funeral Home 105 E. Indiana Ave., Kouts. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Share Foundation P.O. I just talked to your dad at CVS when he was picking up his prescription. We both had to wait a bit so he told me about all about you, what you were doing and where you lived. It was nice to catch up with family business as I have not seen you all for quite some time. He seemed so proud of you and was happy to share good things about his family. I was glad I got to see him and went home and told Fifi all about our visit. I am sorry that he passed away. The loss of a father is such a hard thing to cope with. They are the ones you can always count on if you need help..it is hard not to feel a little insecure without them.
