Rose Kozrowski

Rose Kozrowski (nee Lascaro) Portage/Glen Park Rose Kozrowski (nee Lascaro), age 86 of Portage, formerly of Glen Park, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004. She was a lifetime area resident, former owner and operator of Rose K's Beauty Salon in Glen Park for 21 years, a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, a former 50-year member of St. Joseph the Worker and a former member of the Woman's Club of Northwest Indiana. Rose was a devoted wife and lived for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Anthony "Tony" Kozrow-ski of Portage; she was a devoted and loving mother of Chalene (George) Melnik of Munster, Bonnie (Gary) Kostelnik of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Thomas Kozrowski of Valparaiso; one brother, Joseph Lascaro of Portage; one sister, Marie (late Charles) Doherty of Tarpon Springs, FL; three beautiful grandchildren, Michelle Kostelnik of Huntington Beach, CA, Dr. George A. (Britt) Melnik M.D. of Valparaiso and Thomas J. Kozrowski of Valparaiso; one great-granddaughter, Katrina Melnik. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Gary S. Kostelnik. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, 2004 beginning with 9:30 a.m. prayers at Rees Funeral Home, 600 West Old Ridge Road, Hobart and proceeding to Assumption BVM for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Jon Plavcan officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Visitation is Friday, July 23, 2004 from 2-8 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. prayer vigil at Rees Funeral Home.
