I just found out and wish I could have been at the service. Rufus was a fellow grower and friend of mine for over 25 years. I will miss his always positive attitude and his world class celosia and coxcomb. He was so good at what he did, as were his boys, Frank and Rick. I will pray for your family. Rest in peace in Heaven, Rufus.

(Mary) Lupita as I remember you, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. I have lots of great memories of going to your ranch as a kid. It seemed like a whole different world to me. Your family always made us feel welcomed when we were there. I remember getting a kick out of Rufus' laugh. He was always so happy. May he rest in peace! Thank you for everyone's kind words and prayers. My dad was loved and respected by many, and I just want to thank everyone for taking the time to come visit with us and his wake and funeral. Heartbroken is my biggest emotion! I've literally known Rufus my entire life and grown up with Ricky and Franky. Even when it was rainy if you ran into Rufus his smile and greeting when he would go out of his way to wave or say hello would light up a day. I will absolutely miss Rufus with all my heart. One thing I do have is knowing when I run into his family I will be able to watch the clouds part when they smile that Reyes smile and say hello. I'm sure heaven has a farmers market!

I am so sorry to hear of this loss. Rufus and I haven't been close friends for a lot of years, but when we lost Jake he came and gave me a big hug, and it was like no time had passed in our friendship. My heart goes out to his family. He will hang around in our hearts for a long time. God Bless you!

No words can express our deep sorrow with the unexpected death of my cousin Rufus. He was a wonderful person, talented with his flower business & loving with family & friends. We will always remember Rufus for his kindness, warm heart, love for his family, his caring nature and his big smile. He was always happy to see us and was always quick to ask about our family in the most caring way. He always said good by with a big smile and that is how we will always remember him. So sorry for your loss him and Jimmy are up there rejoicing .The were friends all their life. I use to come hom and there would be flowere on my kitchen table and Jimmy would say Mom Rufus was here. He was always so very polite. For many years Russ and Stella Rainford brought them to church at Village Baptist Church. God Bless you in your time of sorrow. So very sorry to his wife Maria, children, sister Mary, and rest of the family, as well as his many friends. Rufus was such a genuinely nice guy and wonderful family man. Used to ride the bus with him...loved his sense of humor !! He will be greatly missed by so very many. Thanks for sharing him with all of us.

Rest In Peace Rufus. Grew up with Rufus in Lake Village. Had the great fortune of talking with Rufus a few years back as he was selling flowers at the Indiana state line. I am sorry for your loss Maria and family.

Out thoughts and prayers are with the Reyes family. I grew up with Rufus pretty much forever. He was one oh the kindness guys I've ever know! Is flowers were always beautiful any time I bought them. Just a very kind person with a beautiful smile! He will truly be missed.
