Sandra Polis-Williams Obituary
Sandra J. Polis-Williams, age 49 passed away December 25, 2014. She is survived by her loving husband Joseph; sons: Brian and Brandon; her mother Janice (the late Leonard Alters); siblings: Patricia (Michael) McCrory, Bill Knight and Debi Dixon; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph Polis. Visitation will be held Monday December 29, 2014 at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a 4:30 pm Prayer Service. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Thomas More Church with a noon mass. Friends may visit in the church vestibule from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Father Mike Yadron officiating. Interment services will be private. Sandy was a graduate of Munster High School Class of 1983, was a graduate of Purdue University Calumet. Sandy worked as a nurse for over 25 years at various hospitals, most recently St. Catherine's hospital in East Chicago. Sandra was a member of St. Thomas More Church and she will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends. www.burnskish.com

Dear Lord - please take great care of the most wonderful friend and confidante. Our bond was so tight, Sandy was truly a sister of mine. We shared so many of life's trials and tribulations along with much laughter and love. Sandra Jo was taken way too early for any of us to conceive. Lord - your plans for Sandy must be of greatness! I am so sorry to read about Sandy's passing. She worked for me at St. Mary Medical Center in Gary, Indiana when she was first out of school. She was a caring, dedicated nurse as well as a fun loving employee. R.I.P. Sandy.
