Sandra K. Webber, 88, of Portage, IN, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025. She was born July 11, 1937, in Gary, IN to the late Joseph and Ruth (Strawmier) Bencie. Sandy graduated from Emerson High School and made her career with US Steel Credit Union in Gary. She enjoyed cheering for the Chicago Cubs, and taking motorcycle trips across the country with her husband, Terry, and their Gold Wing Touring Association Chapter. Sandy was devoted to her family, and loved to spend time with her granddaughters. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sandy will be dearly missed.

Sandy is survived by her sons: Mike (Jennifer) Hansen of Miller, IN, and Eric (Tina) Hansen of Valparaiso, IN; granddaughters: Alex (Yosuke) Sano, and Olivia N. Hansen; great-granddaughter, Nina Sano; brother, David (Judy) Bencie; sister, Lola Clune; sisters-in-law: Marge Hansen, and Marry Ann Graden; former spouse, Jack Hansen; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Webber in 2012.

In accordance with Sandy's wishes, no services will take place following cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Disabled American Veterans.
