Sandy Satterfield (nee Amptmeyer)
DYER, IN - Sandy Satterfield (nee Amptmeyer), age 61, of Dyer, IN, passed away peacefully Monday, September 13, 2021.
Beloved wife of Douglas Satterfield. Devoted daughter of Carol and the late Kenneth Amptmeyer Sr. Loving sister of Susan (late James) Fortener, Kirk (Gary Allen) Amptmeyer, and Kenny (Christine) Amptmeyer Jr. Loving aunt of Megan, Hayley, and Tyler, and great-aunt of Trey. Loving sister-in-law of David Satterfield and Diane Satterfield, and aunt-in-law of Nicole.
Sandy was also loved by many other close family members and numerous friends. Dearly loved by her four-legged companions Bogart and late Yogi. Sandy was a legal secretary at Kelly Law Offices LLC in Schererville. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Memorial visitation Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 5:00 p.m. at SMITS FUNERAL HOME, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN, with Rev. Jason DeVries officiating.

Sandra is was such a blessing to take care of you all these years. We shared our love of quilting. I will miss our treatment dates and hate that we never got together for you to show me how to use my own embroidery machine. God took a good one home he´s the lucky one now.

What a gentle, sincere, friendly and loving person. Sandy would never refuse to help me in a time of need.

The next time I look up at the night time sky, I will find the brightest star and think of Sandy and a smile will be on my face. Her spirit will live on in all of us who knew her. I'm so shocked and saddened to hear of this young, beautiful lady's passing. I worked with Sandy for several years at Burke and Burke. She was so kind, always willing to help, and lend an ear when I needed it. I will miss her. Deepest sympathy to Doug and her entire family. RIP Sandy.

Sandy was my Covid buddy at work and even in unsettling times, we managed to have some good laughs. She will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family that they will be able to get through these difficult times.

I'm staggered by this sad news. I was lucky enough to work with Sandy at Burke & Burke years back. She developed lymphoma during this time and just kept working with very few complaints. I always enjoyed talking with her. Family meant everything. I heard a lot about her twin sister and brothers. My sympathy to Doug and the entire family.

Aunt Carol, Kirk, Susan and Kenny, I am so sorry to hear about Sandy. Mark and I want to express our sympathies to all of you. I have great memories of Sandy when I was a little kid when my mom and dad would go to Uncle Kenny and Aunt Carol's house in Lansing and us kids would play for hours in the twins bedroom or downstairs. Cherish your memories of Sandy and remember that our loss here on earth is heaven's gain.
