Shirley Kontol Obituary

Shirley Ann Kontol died at the age of 78 in the arms of the man she loved.

Shirley shared nearly sixty years of marriage with her husband, George Kontol. Together, they built a life grounded in love and resilience, raising three children: George Kontol Jr., Donna Kontol, and Donald Kontol. She treasured her grandchildren and joyfully welcomed her great-grandchildren.

George and Shirley worked side by side at movie theaters across Indiana, including 23 years at the historic Y&W drive-in theater.

With quiet strength and unwavering belief, she ensured that those around her knew the name of Jesus. Her faith was not only a guiding light for herself but also a beacon for her family. Her legacy lives on through the faith she shared with the family she loved so fiercely.
