SHIRLEY A. SCANLON (BRENNAN) MUNSTER, IN Shirley A. Scanlon, age 83, of Munster, passed away Monday September 23, 2013. She is survived by her children: Kevin (Denise) Brennan of Merrillville; Kerry (Susan McKinley) Brennan of Riggins, ID, and Glenn (Karen) Brennan of Schererville; stepchildren: Charles (Anita) Scanlon and Beth (Joe) Lorenz; grandchildren: Heidi (Chris) Martin, Amy Brennan, Elizabeth Brennan, Tara Brennan (Lee Maniatis), Richard (Ashley) Brennan, Angela (Christopher) Herrera, Nate Lorenz, Graham Lorenz and Allison Pierzchalski; six great grandchildren: Terra Martin, Jade Martin, Benjamin Martin, Christian Herrera, Adrian Herrera, and Claire Brennan; siblings: Emil Joseph (Stephanie) Sedik, Terry Sedik, Robert (Xiu) Sedik, Mike (Cathy) Sedik, Melissa Reglin, and Beth (Cliff) Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends: Elizabeth Fauskin and Judy Cochrane; loving caregiver, Cathy (Cat) Bartlett. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Scanlon; parents: Charles Reglin and Florence Sedik; stepfather, Emil J. Sedik; brother, Dick Reglin; stepsons: Kevin (Maria) Scanlon and Tim Scanlon; and grandson, Charlie Scanlon. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 27, 2013 at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home & Crematory, 14 Kennedy Ave. (corner of Main & Kennedy), Schererville. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Prayers will be given at 7:00 p.m. Shirley was an avid golfer, former President of Lucky Straw Company and longtime office manager for Dr. A.B. Sokol. She and Ray were longtime members of Calumet Country Club. Shirley loved spending winters at her home in Naples, Florida. She adored her dog, Tiger, who was always by her side.
