Terry Lynn Volk (nee Hagen), age 83, of Hobart, Ind., passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Terry is survived by her children, Vickee (Tom) Edwards, Kelleen (Jim) Gerber and James Scott Volk; four grandchildren, Thomas Paul Edwards, Lyndsey (Jim) Nirider, Megan Louise Gerber and Stephanie Edwards; seven great-grandchildren, Dawson, Kendall, Hallie, Blakely, Liam, Rowan and Xavier; her best friend since 5th grade, Janet Froman; cousin, Diane Spinks; and close friend, Carol Paska.
Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Louis Volk; and parents, Glenn and Frieda Hagen.
Terry was raised in the Calumet Township area and was a graduate of Calumet High School, Class of 1960. Two weeks later, she married the love of her life, Paul Volk, and began their family together. She drove a school bus for the Merrillville Community School Corporation for 50 years, and ran a booth inside the Crown Point Antique Mall. She enjoyed crocheting, watching Notre Dame football, antiquing, being with her friends, and spoiling her grandchildren.
A special thank you goes out to Dunes Hospice and Visiting Angels for all their loving care.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services, 6360 Broadway Avenue, Merrillville, IN 46410 from 10 a.m., until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m., with John Brett officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Terry's name to Visiting Angels.
