Thomas Bedella Obituary
Thomas Bedella, age 91 of Merrillville, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Dolores; four children: Diana Bedella, Laura (Don) Dorsch, Anita Bedella, David Bedella; three grandchildren: Joey and Jeffrey Dorsch, Julian Mitchell- Israel; two brothers: Manuel Bedella, Alfred (Lorraine) Bedella; two sisters: Lilly Bedella, Elizabeth (Marcos) Duran and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Atanacio and Natalia Bedella and two sisters: Lupe Carpentier and Sally Mosqueda. Thomas was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from Inland Steel with 43 years of service and remained in close touch with his co-worker friends through the Inland Steel Old Timers Club. He was a devoted husband and loving father who, along with spending time with his family and friends, cherished his time with his grandkids. He had the best sense of humor and loved making his family laugh. He was an avid fisherman; happiest outdoors, who loved his "mancave," his westerns and his White Sox. He will be missed. Family and friends may call at Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow promptly at 12:00 p.m. from Pruzin Brothers Chapel with Rev.
