Thomas J. Hanna Hammond, IN Thomas J. Hanna, 85, of Hammond, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Virginia S. Hanna and is survived by his two children: Thomas C. (Myra) Hanna of Indianapolis, IN and Ardis (Daryl) Hamilton of Owensboro, KY; four grandchildren: Thomas W. (Julie Mitcheltree) Hanna of Indianapolis, IN, and Heather, Kimberly and Holly Hamilton of Owensboro, KY; six great grandchildren; two sisters: Gracia H. Robertson of Indianapolis, IN and Monte H. Gradolf of Cincinnati, OH. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 6:30 PM from LaHayne Funeral Home, 6955 Southeastern Ave., Hammond, IN with McKinley Lodge #712 F.&A.M. conducting the service. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 16, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery, Apollo, PA. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 3-7 PM, Friday, January 13, 2006 at LaHayne Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Rd., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46268. Mr. Hanna was a lifetime resident of this area, a retired accountant from Meade Electric in Hammond, IN, WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corps, a graduate of the National School of Diesel Mechanics in Los Angeles, CA, attended Indiana State Teachers College in Indiana, PA, and was the recipient of the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award. He was also a 50+ year member of the following organizations, Tyrian Lodge #644, New Kensington, PA; Scottish Rite, Pittsburgh, PA; Orak Shrine of Michigan City, IN and was Captain Emeritus of the Drum and Bugle Corps and a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, Hammond, IN.
