Valerian Puzon Obituary
Valerian F. Puzon, 94, late of the East Side. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Gertrude (nee Buza), and his children, Valerie Hooper, Grace Zehme, Fred (Kristina) Puzon and Christine (Michael) Teranto. Fond Grandfather of Margaret (Daniel) Edmier, Cynthia (Kennith) Hughes, James (Karen) Zehme, Vincent Zehme, Roberta (Kevin) Kane, Steven Puzon, Eric Puzon and Alexis Puzon. Loving Dziadzia of Maggie and Emma Frye, Matthew and Paige Edmier, Larz Hughes and Christian Clarke. He was predeceased by brothers Zygmund (Anna), Joseph (late Veronica) and Frank (late Phyllis), and sister Phyllis (late William) Rudin. Val was a retiree of US Steel South Works, a WWII Veteran and a longtime member of American Legion Post #388, the Chicago Federation of Musicians and the Michiana Federation of Musicians. The music in heaven sounds much sweeter now that he is there. Visitation Saturday July 26, 2014 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am at the Elmwood Chapel 11200 S. Val,
I have many many fond memories of playing trumpet next to you in many groups - Shrine Circus, Buddy Pressner dance band, etc., etc. I really enjoyed talking trumpet and music with you. We will miss you my friend.
