Walter Liszewski Obituary

WALTER LISZEWSKI HOBART, IN Walter Liszewski, age 99 of Hobart, died April 29, 2013. He was born in Guty, Poland on April 17, 1914 and came to the United States in 1950. He fought valiantly with the Allied Forces in Europe, including the Battle of Monte Cassino in Italy. He retired from U.S. Steel, Gary Works. Walter lived in Hobart for 57 years with Lillian, his beloved wife of 61 years, who preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters: Christine Liszewski of Chicago, Alice Liszewski of Hobart and Marilyn (Steve) Carter of Indianapolis, IN; and grandchildren: Caroline, Noelle and Christopher Carter, all of Indianapolis. A Memorial Mass will be Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption B.V.M. Church, 3530 Illinois St., Hobart, IN. Friends may visit with the family at church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. to time of 10:00 a.m. service. www.burnsfuneral.com
