Mary Ann Liszewski, 87, of Troy, IL, born Sunday, February 7, 1937, in Madison, IL and passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL.
Mary was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madison, IL for 67 years and then moved to live with her son and daughter in law in Troy, IL in 2005 transferring to St. Jerome Catholic Church for the past 20 years. She was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America Lodge 1004, Madison, IL. She worked at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Granite City for 15 years. She loved her family, being a homemaker, cooking, dancing a good Polka with her husband and was a proud member of the St. Louis Metro Polka Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. "Joe" Liszewski Jr. whom she married February 12, 1955, and he passed away on January 13, 2005; her daughters-in-law, Karen Liszewski and Elizabeth Liszewski; and her parents, John and Helen (nee Lapinski) Forys; her brothers, Edward, Eugene and David Forys; and her sister, Leona Parizon.
Surviving is her sons, Paul Liszewski of DuBois, IL and Mark Liszewski Sr. of Troy, IL; grandchildren, John Liszewski, Kelly Magnuson, Mark Liszewski Jr. and Mary Liszewski; great-grandchildren, Kerrington and Dylan Rush, Lilly and Zoey Liszewski; great-great-grandchildren, Elijah and Genesis Rush; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church. Troy, IL. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www.Richesonfh.com
Visitation for Mary will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Wednesday, December 18, at Richeson Funeral Home, Troy, IL and 9am to 10 am on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Thursday, December 19, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Troy, IL, with Fr. Kevin Laughery officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Posen, IL.
