Scott D. "Bob" Payne

Scott D. Payne, 64, of Troy, IL, born Sunday, December 17, 1961, in East St. Louis, Il and went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

Scott was a member of Troy-Collinsville Church of Christ, Troy, IL. He was scheduled to retire March 8, 2026, from Nike Air Manufacturing and Innovation after 38 years of dedicated service. Scott was a member of American Pool Players Association; he enjoyed playing in pool tournaments or just for fun with his friends. He was an avid St. Louis Blues Hockey Fan. His family was always a source of enjoyment and cherished the times they spent together.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bill Payne and, aunt, Christine (nee Allen) Payne.

He is survived by his parents, Cecil and Barbara (nee Allen) Payne of Troy, IL; his sister, Connie (Bruce) Gerstenecker of Collinsville, IL; a nephew, Alexander Scott Gerstenecker and niece, Jennifer Leigh Gerstenecker; his uncle, Charles Payne; cousins, Diane (Duane) Custer, Michael Payne, Edward (Susie) Payne and Lori (Jeff) Fillback; and many friends.

Visitation for Scott will be held 11 am to 1 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Troy-Collinsville Church of Christ, 1400 Troy Road, Collinsville, IL 62234.

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, February 27, at Troy-Collinsville Church of Christ with Renn Ferguson and Jason Wright officiating. Interment will be in Marine Cemetery, Marine, IL.
