William Zart Obituary

William Timothy Zart

March 22, 1947 - November 22, 2024

William 'Bill' Zart, born March 22, 1947, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 22, 2024. Bill was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears, the Chicago White Sox, and an ardent supporter of NASCAR. His enduring passion for the outdoors brought life and color to those around him. Among his favorite pastimes, Bill loved riding Harleys and shooting pool at Club "Z", where he made cherished memories and built lasting friendships."

Bill proudly served in the United States Navy dedicating years to our nation with honor and commitment. His time in the service was a source of great pride and greatly influenced his life. He will always be remembered for his bravery, his loyalty, and his unwavering dedication to his country."

Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife and soulmate, Susan. His memory will live on in the hearts of his surviving family: his children, Sean (Nicole) Zart and Shannon (Michael) Rich; his cherished sisters and brothers; his adored grandchildren, Alexa, Joshua, Austyn, and Logan; his Goddaughter Andrea (Ryan) Walker and their baby girl Lucy; and his many nieces and nephews. Bill's love and dedication to his family were unwavering, and his legacy will be a lasting source of inspiration and comfort.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Spring, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor a life well-lived.

The years have passed so fast. I am grateful that we connected last fall and shared several mornings together sitting out in your backyard just talking about the time when we were kids and young adults. I´m sure you will have a Club Z wherever you are and you and Sue will be together along with all those that left before you. We miss our weekly calls with you. You were a good man and cared deeply for family. We love you and will always remember you

Truly my sons father n law but treated me like his own family. Loved him more then words can ever say. I never saw a man work so hard in the yard up until the end. I'll never ever forget papa and love him forever and a day.
Nana goes right along with papa I think of them ever single day.
