Mrs. Young Yong Park was born in Seoul, Republic of Korea on September 1, 1947 as the oldest child of In Ha and Sang Duk Kim. She attended Seoul National University High School and Seoul National University where she graduated with a degree in nursing. She worked at Seoul National University Hospital where she met the love of her life, Dr. Jung Il Park.
They had two boys, Won and Min, before immigrating to the United States in 1978 where they had one more son, Kyu. They eventually settled in Munster where they remained happily for the next 42 years. She worked as a nurse, business manager, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. After retirement, Mrs. Park loved to travel all over the world with her family and closest friends. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, her three sons, and four grandchildren (Jae, Jin, Jihae, and Eunji).
Visitation and funeral services will be at the Burns Kish Funeral Home in Munster, IN this Sunday, December 14th from 3 to 5 p.m.
