My deepest condolences for the loss of such a devout man. The psalmist gives us comfort about the Earth being a Paradise again and living in peace. We need such reminders of these promises from our Creator especially when facing a lot of a loved one. PS 37:9-11,29; Jeremiah 29:11

Although I have not seen or spoken to Rabbi Kelman since my youth, I have thought of him often. I was a student in one of the last class of boys at Prospect Park Yeshiva in the 1960's and Rabbi Kelman officiated at my Bar Mitzvah at the Jewish Center. Although I am saddened by his passing, I am heartened by the long and productive life that he led. I remember him as a patient man of integrity. His legacy and good work for the Jewish people will live on for many years. "May his family be comforted among the mourners of ZIon and Yerushalayim."
