I am so sorry to hear of Adrian's passing. What a beautiful, classy lady she was.

I got to know Adrian as a colleague, not very long after I moved to NYC and started out in publishing. She was precisely the sort of NY career woman I wanted to become. She was elegant, warm, smart, strong, worldly, cultured, and accomplished. I am so sorry to learn of her death and will treasure my memories of her.

I remember Adrian from from my earliest days in book publishing, almost 25 years ago. Her style, intelligence, wit, perceptiveness, and good heart have been an inspiration to me for years. I occasionally ran into Adrian, or people who knew her, and it was always a comfort. Rest in peace, and thank you for your gracious example of how to live life.

Adrian was an inspiration to me from my earliest days in publishing. Intelligent, witty, warm-hearted, classy, and perceptive, she was a great lady. I would very occasionally run into her, or people who knew her, in the 25 years since I first met her, and it was always a pleasure. Rest in peace, Adrian, and much gratitude for your example.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Adrian for 19 years, meeting her through her dear friend Edie Smith. Adrian is the epitome of grace, style, femininity, wit, warmth and intelligence. Knowing that I won't see her anymore when I go to the east side makes me very very sad. rest in peace Adrian, I'll see you on the other side.
