ALAN FEIGENBAUM Obituary

FEIGENBAUM--Alan Robert. Alan Robert Feigenbaum passed away January 30, 2025, at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York, after waging a heroic battle against cancer. He was 87 and leaves his loving wife and son, Arlene of New York and Evan of Chicago, and two grandchildren Alexander and Eliza. Born in Brooklyn, he was the youngest senior vice president at Macy's, then built home furnishings manufacturing businesses from Italy to Brazil to Yugoslavia. He traveled extensively; lived in the wider world; and loved history, the performing arts, New York sports, and Italian and French pop music. He loved Italy most of all, and shared with Arlene a network of interesting and accomplished friends around the world--and family in London, who he loved dearly and who loved him dearly back. He lived life fully, decade after decade, and transcended the world from which he came to make for himself the life and the world he truly wanted. Alan lived valiantly, adventurously, and completely.

I just wanted to share my condolences with you both. I will always remember Alan and your family for the times we spent together from Carl Shurz park to fun times with Dan and David. I would very much like to speak with you. I left a message on your old number but am not certain you will receive it. Please email with contact info. Thank you. Warmly, Ellen Kaplowitz
