We lost my Uncle Tonto ( that's a whole other story) this week! He was, perhaps, the only true uncle I really had. He would hug me and kiss me every time I saw him. He would berate me when I was inappropriate and would laugh at my comments. He became my uncle when I married one of his incredible nieces and accepted me immediately as one of his own. He was a good man who could be a bureaucrat on one hand and an amazing musician on the other, who could hear a song and immediately play it. - no readable music necessary. I will miss my dear Tonto, far more than even I realize. I will miss his smile! I will miss his laugh! I will miss his intelligence! I will miss sitting next to him or standing by the piano as he let me sing my heart out, be it standards or the entire score of Fiddler. I will miss this man who touched my life as few others have. But, most of all, I will miss his absolute goodness. Rest well, dear friend!!! You will be sorely missed!
