ALLEN SILVERMAN Obituary

SILVERMAN--Allen, at the age of 94 peacefully passed away in his home in New York City. Allen was a true New Yorker having lived the majority his life on the Upper East Side of Manhattan after growing up on Clay Avenue in the Bronx. Allen lived life to the fullest with his wife Ellie for 49 years. Together they traveled the world and never left each other's side. Allen felt it was his mission in life to help people. From building New York's largest union headquarters for SEIU 32BJ which provided best in class services to its members, to building playgrounds in Israel after the Seven-day War, to being a mentor and role model to his children and grandchildren. Allen is survived by his wife Ellie, son's Andrew and Alexander, his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, nieces and cousins. He will continue to be loved by his extended family members.

It's hard to explain the sadness that I felt When Robin told me of her father's passing The years that I was lucky enough to have spent with him will always be cherished by me The decade that I was fortunate enough to spend as his son are times that I will always treasure for the rest of my days I'm happy that I am still able to maintain a relationship with my sister Robin And the sadness I feel that her father Left this world without being able to reconnect to her I hope that Alex and Andrew Are big enough to understand that their loss is hers as well God bless Allen Silverman ❤
