MICHAUDON-- Andre Francisque. Andre Francisque Michau-don, a gentleman and scholar, 1929 - 2022, born in Cavaillon, France May 14, 1929. Early adult attended Ecole Nationale Superieure des Ingenieurs Arts et Metiers, Cluny, Ecole Superieure d'electricite; 1953 served in the French Navy as a Lieutenant. 1954 Research Engineer at Le Material Telephonie Boulogne-Billancourt, France. 1956 to 1965 pioneered neutron time-of-flight with electron linear accelerator Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Saclay, Commissariat a l'Energie Atomic, France. 1964 obtained Doctorat es Sciences at Sorbonne, University de Paris; Guest of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA) Center of Theoretical Physics. 1969 Professor of Nuclear Physics Doctorate level, Paris University Institute National des Sciences et Techniques Nucleaires. 1972 Head of Nuclear Physics Division, Centre d'Etudes de Bruyeres, le Chatal, France. 1979 Deputy Head of the Department of General Physics, Centre d'Etudes de Limeil. 1984 to 1989 Co-Director Institute Laur- Langevin Grenoble, France. 1989 Consultant Organization for European Cooperation and Development, Paris, France. 1993 Physicist LANSCE, Los Alamos National Laboratory, NM, USA. April, 2000 became a naturalized citizen of the United States; 2004 Guest Scientist Los Alamos National Laboratory. Member and/or Chairman of Scientific Council of th Laboratoire de Metrologie des Rayonnements Ionisants, Saclay France; Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements European Commission, Geel, Belgium; International Nuclear Data Committee of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Vienna, Austria; Nuclear Energy Agency Nuclear Data Committee of the OECD Paris, France; Executive Council of the European Science Fdn. Strasbourg, France; Co-general Editor of a series of books on Neutron Physics, Nuclear Fission, Neutrorn Sources, Neutron Radiative Capture, and Probabilities, Statistics, and Data Uncertainties in Nuclear Science. Andre received many awards and honors during his career including Knight of the French Order of Merit, Paris; Montgolfier Award for scientific and technical innovation from Society d'encouragement pour l'industrie nationale, Paris; French Academy of the Sciences, Paris, award for work in neutron physics; French Minister of the Navy for world record of the 4,000 metre dive of the bathyscaphe off the coast of Dakar. He is survived by two daughters and their mother, two grandsons, two great-grand- children, and his wife. This was the beautiful mind of Andre. It was an honor and a privilege to be with him. Shirley
