ANDREW GERBER Obituary
of Dobbs Ferry, NY, died on December 20, 2017 at the age of 84 after a brave fight against cancer. Andy was an arbitrator and a mediator, and was the former General Counsel of The Columbia House Company following a long career at Sony Music Entertainment, Inc., previously the CBS Records Group of CBS, Inc. He graduated from the University of Vermont and Yale Law School, and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General's Corps. Andy will be missed by his colleagues, his many friends, and his family, including his wife, Mary Fennell Gerber, his daughter, Carol Gerber, his son, James Gerber, and his sister, Judith Hammond. A service will be held at Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home at 64 Ashford Ave, Dobbs Ferry, NY on Wednesday, December 27 at 10:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and to Calvary Hospital.

I worked with him at the tail end of his Columbia House stint. I just entered the workforce at the time. Nice guy in my opinion.

Andy--it was a delight to get to know you better, to have broken bread and raised an occasional glass together among good friends from old CBS, and to learn that my late young cousin Carl Zanger helped train you years ago. Good memories do indeed last. Ave atque vale, good friend!

Mary--I am very sorry to learn of Andy's passing. He was a colleague at the City Bar and I knew him all the way back to his Columbia House days when I was at CBS.
