ANNABEL CANER

CANER--Annabel. Born July 4, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025 in Huntington, NY. She graduated from Garrison Forest School in 1950 and Radcliffe College in 1954. Independent, principled, and deeply devoted to helping others, Annabel lived a life of purpose and compassion. Her spirit shone in every note she played, every life she touched, and every cause she championed. She appreciated beauty in the world and inspired those around her to live with empathy and conviction. She is survived by her children Gerald, Isabel and Hannah (Fred) and grandchildren Carly, Kyle, Amelia, Kate and Avery, and great-grandson, Enzo, brother, John Caner, and sister, Harriet Wayne Wells. She was predeceased by her beloved partner Spencer Ross, sister, Sarah Ann Schofield, and daughter-in- law, Nancy. She was the daughter of the late Harriet and Gerald Caner. A Celebration of Life service will be held November 23, 2025 at 2pm at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Huntington.
