ANNE BOTSTEIN

BOTSTEIN--Anne. The children of Dr. Anne Botstein and their families mourn her passing on Sunday, October 17, 2010. She died peacefully after a long illness. Dr. Anne Botstein was a distinguished pediatrician who worked for most of her career in this country at the Montefiore Hospital and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Admired by her colleagues and beloved by her patients, she died at the age of 98. Born in Poland and educated at the University of Zurich, she was a pioneer in pediatrics, both in Switzerland and the United States. She is survived by her three children, David, Eva, and Leon, and six surviving grandchildren. Since the death of her husband, Charles Botstein, she lived on the Bard College campus. Burial services will be private. Members of the family will receive guests at the home of her daughter, Dr. Eva Griepp, at 860 UN Plaza, on Tuesday, October 19, from 8-10pm.
