ANNE DAVIS Obituary

DAVIS--Anne M. The Board of Directors of the Center for Independence of the Disabled, New York (CIDNY) deeply mourns the loss of Anne M. Davis who served as President and Vice President of our Board. Anne provided her extraordinary leadership, expertise, and passion to CIDNY for nearly 30 years. She was an outstanding philanthropist. The lives of people with disabilities in New York are better because of her leadership and guidance on voting rights, access to transportation, affordable housing, health care access, and the elimination of discrimination based on disability and health status in health insurance in New York State. We will all remember her as a disability rights leader, mentor, colleague and friend. We express our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Davis family.

May our God of comfort and tender mercies continue to comfort and console mourning ones as your beloved Anne rest in peace. Until that new day when we see our love ones again in paradise, where death and pain will be no more.
