ARLENE GROSSMAN

GROSSMAN--Arlene Petroff. It is with the most profound sense of loss that I must report the passing of my wife, my absolute love, and my dearest friend, on July 28, 2012 in Gt. Barrington, MA. Arlene succumbed to the ravages of metastasized breast cancer despite the determined and extraordinary medical care she received at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She is survived by her loving husband, Ed, her brother Martin and his wife Marsha, numerous cousins and many devoted friends. Born in New York City, February 2, 1940 to Max and Lillian Petroff. Attended PS 6, Calhoun, and earned a BA from NYU. Arlene worked in magazine editorial, then at JC Penney as Director of Home Fashion and as President of In Detail, before joining her husband's wholesale business. Loved by all who knew you, you were my life and my shining light. My world is now much darker. Thank you Arlene for over 43 years of love and devotion. Please know that you are my love for all eternity. Services will be Thursday, August 2nd, at 11:45am at "The Riverside" 76th Street and Amsterdam Avenue followed by entombment at the Sanctuary of Abraham & Sarah at Cedar Park Cemetery, NJ.
