ARTHUR LASKY

LASKY--Arthur. Arthur Edward Lasky, beloved husband, father and grandpa, died January 27, 2022, in New York City, age 70. He was born June 10, 1951 in Brooklyn NY, and graduated from Canarsie High School, Harvard College '72 and Columbia Graduate School of Architecture and Planning '78. A creative, thoughtful, and highly ethical practitioner, he was a respected architect and colleague. In addition to his architecture practice, he founded HearthCabinet Ventless Fireplaces, a company built around a patented new fireplace design, which continues to thrive. Outside of the office, he served for several years as architectural advisor and then as Chairman of the Board of Veritas Therapeutic Community. For over a decade he was a beloved member of the acting troupe WedRepCo, where his talent as an actor, writer, and director shone over many productions; he will be lovingly remembered as a mentor to younger company members. He enjoyed gardening and sculpting at his second home in Copake, NY. A deeply kind, caring person, with a subtle sense of humor, he will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Nancy Grilikhes, daughter Antonia Grilikhes-Lasky, son-in-law Bradley Pitts, grandson Calder Lasky-Pitts, and brother Stephen Lasky.
