I will always remember Art as a dear neighbor and friend for so many years. He and Eileen were the perfect example of kindness and loyalty to all of us. My husband Tony passed away 2 years ago and hopefully he and Art are sharing a cigar and a fine glass of wine together in Heaven..

I was excited several months ago to learn that Art had joined the NY Presbyterian board and that he had made an absolutely magnificent gift to the institution. I was disappointed when I did not see him at any board meetings. This was because going way back into the early '70's I had known and admired him as a skilled practitioner of his profession and as an engaging, most-pleasant gentleman. I was hoping that NYP board service would give me more chances to enjoy his always-welcome company. I had no idea that the time was coming when we would have to say "Goodbye" to such a great guy. I am sorry that this death ends my happy relationship with him. Sadly, all relationships come to an end, almost always unhappily and almost never on any plan. So it is with my admired friend, Art. I am sad. To his family, which he often told me about, my most-sincere condolences. When I have had these losses in my family, I have learnt that it takes time to get settled and adjust to the loss, so, please hang in there and do what Art would want --- enjoy your family and move on with your lives as soon as you are ready

Sincerely,

Stephen Case

Dear Eileen,
I was saddened to hear about Arthur's death. I have so many fond memories of our years together at Rutgers University. I remember endless evenings playing duplicate bridge or just playing bridge at my house. We also took an economics course together. We used to sit in the back of the room playing word games. Obviously, Arthur was already multitasking. He must have been listening also, as his life attests to his business success. I ended up teaching English in Israel. I should have listened too.

It sounds like he left a wonderful family. May you and your family know no more sorrow and may his memories remain with you forever.

At SDL you taught me not only how to be a good accountant, but you taught me how to be a "professional." I extend my thoughts and prayers to your family and may they be endured by years of fond memories.
