I'm thunderstruck by this bolt out of the blue. Arthur was doing wonderful work on the beta version of VPython, an open-source programming environment for which I'm the gatekeeper. I never met him in person, but he was a good colleague. I had been amazed by how quickly he came up to speed on complex aspects of Visual. I'll miss him. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Many condolences to the family of Mr. Siegel. Never easy is the loss of family especially, these so close to our hearts. Close to heart never to part is he. Remembering is not hard, laughing is not easy. Such great pain needs great comfort. God(Psalms83:18) gives comfort. Note what He says here: "Like a man whom his own mother keeps comforting, so I myself shall keep comforting you people."—Isaiah 66:13.
May God comfort you in this difficult time so that your days will be bright as well as your eyes now swollen with sorrow and loss.
