I just found this obit. Professor Silver was my teacher during my graduate work in graphic design at CW Post in the early 80s. He was extremely important to me and had a great influence on my work. My condolences to his family. Sally Frank (North Salem, NY)

I am so sorry to hear of his loss. I had "Professor Silver" as my design professor at C.W. Post from 1975-79 He changed my life. He was very supportive of my design and a very good teacher. I have now been a professional graphic designer for the past 30 years, and I can say that I owe a large part of my success to him. My thoughts go out to his family and friends.
