BARBARA RANZAL

RANZAL--Barbara. The Family of Barbara Ranzal, mourn her passing, after a long illness at home on Friday, August 13, 2021, just three days before her 78th birthday. Barbara is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gerry, her son and daughter, Scott and Stacey, their spouses Mary and Marc, and her five grandchildren, Dylan, Abby, Ava, Luke, and Molly. She is also survived by her sister Mary Ann Redmond. Barbara was an at-home mom while her children were growing up. After that she returned to school and completed her education as a Registered Nurse. She worked for more than 15 years as the preschool nurse at The Jawonio Foundation, an organization for individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health challenges, and chronic medical conditions. She was a very special person to be able to deal with those children. Barbara and her husband enjoyed travelling. They travelled extensively throughout the world during their marriage. Their children and their families lived on the East Coast (Stacey) and the West Coast (Scott). After their move to Florida, they made sure to take trips almost annually with the entire family. Barbara was happiest when she was with her entire family. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11am at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel, 150 NJ Route 4, Paramus, NJ 07652, followed by burial at Beth-El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652. Shiva will be observed at the Ranzal residence at 148 Fisher Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430.
