I am still shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of Barry. We grew up together in Wantagh, Long Island, and he became one of my closest friends. The countless experiences we shared are indelibly etched in my memory and my heart. I probably spent more time at Barry´s house than at my own home.
Barry was the first and only ham radio operator I ever met, and I still remember his call letters: WB2EYP. He introduced me to so many firsts. The first time I heard Simon and Garfunkel sing was when Barry played their Sounds of Silence album for me. The first time I went to the New York World´s Fair was with Barry. The first time I saw the Mets play at Shea Stadium was with Barry. The first time I visited Washington, D.C., and the first time I flew on an airplane-both were with Barry.
We had countless adventures together, including a memorable trip to Montreal in high school to see Expo 67. When we were considering colleges, we both got accepted to the University of Chicago and visited the school together. Ultimately, we decided Chicago wasn´t the right fit for us. Later, we both ended up attending law school in Washington, D.C., and remained close friends throughout our time there.
As adults, our bond endured. I learned later in life that Barry had a passion for running in the New York City Marathon, and in 2015, we had the joy of running together. At the time of his passing, we were collaborating on a legal matter after my law firm retained Barry for his unique expertise in securities investigations.
Barry was a profoundly significant part of my life, and I will always cherish the memories we created together. His kindness, intellect, and spirit left an indelible mark on me. He is deeply missed.

I was Barry´s fraternity brother at Penn, and everybody liked Barry. I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. May his memory always be for a blessing and may Hashem comfort you with the mourners of Zion.

Barry and I were Beta Sigma Rho fraternity brothers at Wharton School, pledge class of 1968.
Barry was a HUGE San Francisco Giants fan and I rooted for the Atlanta Braves.
In our sophomore year of 1969, the teams battled all season to win the very first National League Western Division crown. There was only one live TV game a week, so we had to follow by over the air radio, and read the newspapers to follow the pennant race. Fortunately, the Braves were broadcast by WSB, so we climbed onto the frat house roof to listen to the 50,000 watts "clear channel" from Atlanta. When the Phillies played our team, the local radio was on.
In September, the Giants were leading, but the Braves won 10 in a row and clinched the NL West on the second to last day of the season.
But Barry got the last laugh as the NY Mets (wearing Giants colors) swept the Braves to win the NL pennant and won the World Series.
Over the years, we still had a rivalry, but our friendship was of prime importance. Every time I heard a Giants score, I would think of Barry.
I still will.

George and I were shocked and saddened by the news of Barry's passing. Although we did not get to be with him and Beverly often, they both remained friends throughout the many years we have known them.
Barry was a kind, generous, and caring human being. He was also a great lawyer whom we admired for his legal expertise.
Our thoughts go out to his family, and specifically to his wife, Beverly, whom we both have known and loved for many, many years. Take care of yourself, Beverly.

Along with Reid Kahn and David Falk, Barry was one of my closest friends through elementary school and high school. To this day I can still quote lines from the comedy shtick he used to do with Danny Gleich up on the stage in the cafeteria at East Broadway. He turned me on to The Kinks and ham radio, inspired me to work out and get in shape, and made me envy his business acumen when his NY Times franchise at Salk Jr. High School drove my Herald Tribune franchise into the ground. I'm sorry that he and I didn't stay in touch as grownups, but I have always remembered him fondly.

There are a lot of great lawyers, but of them, there are very few who are great gentlemen as well. Barry was one of them, and I mourn his passing.

I am very sorry to read this death notice for Barry, who I knew from his days as a fine litigator at SEC. My condolences to the family. I well recall Barry's significant contributions at numerous SEC Enforcement conferences. Though I am long retired, I regard Barry's death as a serious loss to the profession.

The white collar bar has lost one of the best in every way it ever had or will have. Hashem has gained an unbearable General Counsel.
Anyone and everyone I know who were blessed to have known Barry in any capacity had nothing but good things to say about him.
In addition to being a lifelong SF Giants baseball fan, Barry was fond of the rock group, the Ramones. Barry was also one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to what good coffee is. His interests/passions/expertise went far beyond securities law.
