BEATRICE BRESLOW Obituary

BRESLOW--Beatrice, died peacefully on January 23, 2024, a month after her 98th birthday. Bea was born on December 30, 1925, in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Benjamin Grossman and Gertrude (Schultz) Grossman. She graduated from Indiana University and came to New York to work in public relations. She met Harold Breslow, whom she married in 1949. Harold died in 2000, and Bea spent the rest of her life in New York City, enjoying all the things New York has to offer. She was a superb knitter, making sweaters for her family, hats and scarfs for the homeless, and baby blankets for hospitalized infants. No one could beat her at rummy five hundred. She is survived by her two daughters, Lori Breslow and Ellen Breslow Newhouse, sons-in-law John Belcher and Sam Newhouse, a grandson, Nate Newhouse, four additional grandsons, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Bobbie. Burial was private. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. We are grateful for her presence in our lives.
