The Jewish world has lost one of its most important voices, and for all of us who knew and loved Belda, a wise and insightful friend. May her family be comforted in their mourning by the legions mourning together with them in Jerusalem and Zion.

It is with deep regret that we note the passing of Belda Lindenbaum. She was an outstanding leader and an inspiration to Marcel, her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends as well as the larger Jewish community. A true Eishet Chayil. She will be greatly missed.
