BELDA LINDENBAUM Obituary

LINDENBAUM--Belda

Kaufman. The Yeshiva University family grieves the passing of Belda Kaufman Lindenbaum, a widely admired Jewish communal leader who served as a devoted worker on behalf of the YU Museum, and on behalf of numerous educational institutions, and as a champion of women's Jewish education. She and her beloved husband, Marcel Lindenbaum '53YC, are long- time supporters of Yeshiva University. Heartfelt condolences are extended to Marcel and their children: Nathan (and Shari) Lindenbaum, Bennett (and Rebecca) Lindenbaum, Matthew (and Ray) Lindenbaum, Victoria (and Ben) Feder, Abigail (and Shai) Tambor and their grandchildren. May they and the entire Lindenbaum, Kaufman, Ghity and Max Stern, z"l, families be comforted among those who mourn for Zion and Jerusalem. Yeshiva University Richard M. The Jewish world has lost one of its most important voices, and for all of us who knew and loved Belda, a wise and insightful friend. May her family be comforted in their mourning by the legions mourning together with them in Jerusalem and Zion.

It is with deep regret that we note the passing of Belda Lindenbaum. She was an outstanding leader and an inspiration to Marcel, her children, grandchildren, relatives and friends as well as the larger Jewish community. A true Eishet Chayil. She will be greatly missed.
