BLUM--Bernard G. With profound sadness we announce the passing of beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather Bernard G. Blum on August 24, 2008 as the heart and soul our of family. He was a guiding light to us all. His wisdom, integrity, compassion, grace, humor and unassuming manner were only surpassed by his immeasurable love and devotion to each of us. He was the founder and president of B.G. Blum Associates and Homemaker Industries, Inc. He was a true pioneer in the rug industry for over a half century, from its humble beginnings in Dalton, GA to becoming one of the industries leaders. He shared a lifetime of 68 years with his true love Molly who completed him in every way. The epitome of family and goodness, a great man who has blessed us and now sadly has left us. Words cannot adequately express how much we will miss him. His legacy of devotion to family and friends will carry on in all our hearts forever. Survived by his loving wife Molly, devoted children Judi and Arnold Lashin, Marilyn Kaplan, his treasured grandchildren; Stacey and Michael Mintz, Wendy and Todd Sinett, Gregg Lashin, Eric and Susan Lawrence, Marc Lawrence and Jacqueline Reeves and his beloved great-grandchildren; Casey, Zachary and Lindsey Mintz, Taylor and Kyle Sinett.
