I had first met Beverly in the early 80's when she had been a Doctoral Candidate at City College's Clinical Psychology Program, and I had been in its Master's Program. I loved her dearly....and was deeply inspired by her and continually learned from her. Her most earnest compassion for those less fortunate than herself, her dedication to serving others, her brilliance, her warmth, her kindness and her wonderful sense of humor......her perseverance amidst any hardship.
Beverly, Dr Martin....how deeply I loved her.
May all who knew Beverly be comforted by loving memories of her.
With heartfelt condolences, love and respect
Janet

I truly loved Dr. Martin and regret to hear well after the fact that she has transitioned. I stumbled on this page after not hearing back from her for several weeks- which just never happened. Dr. Martin was an extraordinary mentor who cared about my overall development and success as opposed to just the professional realm that she was originally tasked with developing as my supervisor so many years ago. As a forensic psychologist, she saw a motley crew of difficult people, but she always treated them with kindness and the dignity that their circumstances attempted to strip from them. She had true joie de vivre, humor, and the best, infectious laugh, and I loved hearing about her travels every time we chatted. May she travel well on this journey.

It was a beautiful service for Dr. Martin. I´m so glad had the opportunity to go. Will miss how a five minute discussion about a case can turn into a one hour conversation about her trips and life in general.

I am so happy was given the opportunity to experience, work with, live in the world of Dr. Martin. She was a true original. Lived life on her own terms. Truly a life well lived. A true New Yorker. God bless her.
