I was referred to Dr Deitchman by a very good friend who worked at Sloan. He was an amazing dermatologist...and I credit him for identifying my first malignant melanoma and perhaps saving my life along the way. He was diligent and I could be a tough patient, but he never waivered. He was an excellent doctor and I am sure he is missed every day.

To my old friend Bruce. Our mothers were best friends and the last time I saw you was at my brother's funeral. I also meant to go to see you, but the memory was too painful. Rest in Peace sweet boy.

Dr. Deitchman had deep insight into life, he cared about you as a patient and I enjoyed talking to him about many topics. I am so saddened that such a great person who did so much and was good not just because he wore a lab coat. His first office was on fifth avenue where my father used to work and Dr. Deitchman was like a fun dad a brother and friend, rare person genuine , kind, God bless him RIP

Dr. Deitchman was a delight. I became his patient in 1996 after moving to New York and genuinely looked forward to seeing him every year, which is not the sort of thing most people probably say about a doctor's appointment! He was always ready with a hilarious story or a fascinating insight into some topic or another. I will not forget him and will miss him deeply.

A friend referred me to Dr. Deitchman in 1994, and it was the best favor she ever did me. Over the years he became my friend, confidante, and primary care doctor -- doesn't everyone see their dermatologist for stomach pains and back problems? ;) He genuinely cared about every aspect of his patients' lives -- their jobs, their hobbies, their relationships, and of course their health. I can't even count the number of times he shook his head and smiled at my never-ending stream of questions about the latest cosmetic product or procedure and sent me on my way without charging me -- his honesty and generosity made him one-of-a-kind. The world has lost a kind, gracious, funny, gentle, and honorable man, and he will truly be missed.

Dr. D was truly an exceptional man. His intelligence, and high level of care is only exceeded by his genuine care and concern for his patients. How privileged I was to have known you, and to have been under his care and to be able to call him friend. RIP, Dr. D. You will be very missed.

Bruce was a friend and my doctor. I relied on him for advice and counsel. He was the smartest doctor I ever knew and would take the time to discuss medical issues other than dermatological. I valued his friendship and wisdom and will miss him.

shocked to hear of the passing of Dr Bruce, as I always called him, when I called to make an appointment. He was my family's dermatologist for many, many years. I would text him pix and he would tell me if I needed to come into the office. We will all miss him! Deepest sympathies to his family and special friends.

You will be sorely missed! The feisty political rampages, the unfiltered and blunt, honest conversations (we were matched at that!), the most compassionate and empathetic friend. And the person I turned to for all advice-medical, personal, financial---until we meet again........
