BRUCE SLOVIN Obituary

SLOVIN--Bruce. The Board and staff of the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research mourn the passing of our long-serving former Chairman Bruce Slovin. Bruce's leadership, unfailing support, imagination, and dynamism were essential in strengthening and sustaining the institution. He was especially proud of his role in the creation of the YIVO Encyclopedia of Jews in Eastern Europe, an acclaimed two-volume English language reference work published by Yale University Press. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bruce's dear family. May his memory be a blessing. Ruth Levine, Chair Jonathan Brent, ED & CEO
