Lady Camilla Margaret Mackeson

MACKESON--Lady Camilla. Lady Camilla Mackeson passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 in London, as an immediate consequence of pneumonia, after battling a blood disease for many years. Throughout her life, Lady Mackeson was cherished by friends and family across the United States, South America and Europe. She was born Camilla Margaret Keith on March 7, 1947 alongside her twin brother, Alastair James Keith, to the delight of her mother Lady Ariel Olivia Winifred Keith (Baird) and father Sir Kenneth Alexander Keith, Baron Keith of Castle Acre and merchant banker. She was the granddaughter of John Lawrence Baird, 1st Viscount Stonehaven, and Lady Ethel Sydney Keith-Falconer, Countess of Kintore. Upon arrival, she instantly added an invigorating spirit to her family. After being raised in London, Camilla lived all over the world including in New York, Brazil, Buenos Aires, and Madrid, before finally returning home to London for her final years. Throughout her adult life, she was a devoted philanthropist to arts organizations most notably contributing to the development of the Teatro Colon, the Borges Cultural Center, and the Teatro San Martin. For years she also practiced painting in Maria Silvia Corcuera's studio. In 1968, Camilla married Sir Rupert Henry Mackeson, 2nd Baronet. In 2010, Camilla married Roberto Villambrosa, a career Argentine diplomat who remained devoted to her through her final days. She leaves behind her husband, Roberto Villambrosa; her stepchildren, Guadalupe and Macarena Villambrosa; her nephew, Alexander Keith; her niece, Serena Keith; and her great-nieces and -nephew, Ida, Aurelia and Alastair.
