CHARLES BRUCIA Obituary
Born April 27, 1948. Charlie passed away peacefully in his sleep on the evening of February 6 after a brief illness. He was a devoted husband, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and uncle. He is survived by his loving wife of 21 year, Laura J. Brucia, his sister Marie Kaminek (Raymond), brother-in-law Joseph (Susan), three nieces and a nephew. Charlie was a native of Long Island, NY. He resided in NYC, Cold Spring Harbor and Palm Desert, CA. He was a preeminent financial manager and extraordinary CPA. He worked with innovative entrepreneurs, major television studios and many notable luminaries of the television and music industries for over 45 years. He also served as Treasurer and dedicated Board Member of the Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation for over 30 years. Charles was a consummate professional both domestically and internationally. He left behind a legacy of honesty, integrity and friendship. He was an avid collector of vintage automobiles, as well as being a licensed pilot. He will be sorely missed both professionally and personally by all of his colleagues, clients and dear friends who knew and loved him. A Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Cathedral's Lady Chapel, date to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Rose Brucia Educational Foundation, 1377 Motor Parkway, Suite 212, Islandia, NY 11749.

Charlie was a good friend and helped a lot of people, one of them was me. Laura I feel so bad your still suffering with Charlie's loss. I just learned of the Chasmans passing 3/19. That's what we called him at King World where we met. We had some great conversations in the 80's and he bought me some leather ties, cause they were cool. Dear Brucia family, Our family grew up in Seaford next door to Charlie. We have so many great memories of him, his mom and Marie. We remember Charlie's love of cars, music and when he opened up a shoe store on Sunrise Hwy. My sister used to go with Mrs. Brucia to the school she worked at. My brother loved Charlie's fast cars and we all remember the drumming in the garage and his band. My dad used to enjoy long talks with Charlie. We remember Marie as an English teacher. We are so sad to find out about Charlie's passing but it is not surprising that so many people remember him so fondly. Peace from our family to all of the Brucia's.
