Kathy, I was so sad to hear about Corky. He was a delight of a
person and oh so generous. I remember one time I ask if
he could arrange for a TV for a silent auction and when I
went to pick it up there were ten of them. He sure made
me a hero when I showed up with them.
My heart hurts for you and your family. I will hold you in my
prayers.

We have been part of the 'Walgreen family' since my husband began his 41 year career in 1973. We are heartbroken at the loss of this phenomenal man. His legacy will live on. Much love to all the family and friends who will be missing him so much for so long. Peace and love to all.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Cork Walgreen. My relationship with him was "strictly business" but I admired him greatly. His death is symbolic of the end of the old Walgreen culture. We can only hope the the new Walgreen/Boots organization can live up to the standards set by Cork and his Family.

Many memories of working for a leader that held family values in great esteem. Helping employees in need was a virtue followed by the Walgreen family from it's inception. My prayers are with Corky and his family. He will be missed.
