I just learned of this today...and am profoundly saddened by the news of Chris's passing. With her help I secured my first job on Wall Street some 30 years ago. I am reminded of the phrase "I stand on the shoulders of the women who came before me" and Chris had some very broad shoulders. Her generosity, kindness , wisdom and her fervent fight for female empowerment were inspirational and transformative for a young girl just starting out in the 80s on Wall Street. I will forever be grateful to have known her. Her light was so bright, I believe it continues to shine brightly though every life she touched.

I was shocked and deeply saddened when I heard the news of Chris's passing. Chris was a very caring and dear friend who would always go out of her way to help you and always give you 100% of her time and knowledge.
She was a very meticulous and detail oriented person.
She was the true and real meaning of class.
She will be missed.

My heart knew something wasn't right when my email was left unanswered! Because Christine was a very on point and woman of her word.. my instincts immediately thought the worst and I just googled her and found this obituary! My heart broke knowing such a strong beautiful woman who made every woman feel amazing and whose strength was contagious!!! She was my very best client and a friend ! I surely will miss her kind words, her wisdom and her appreciation that she showed me!!!
Christine wherever you are my thoughts are with you and may God bless your soul ...
with eternal love and gratitude to your loyalty!
Praying your husband daughter and all who loved you
Have strength!

Chris was by far one of the kindest people I've ever known. Her generosity had no bounds. Each year I looked forward to the beautiful holiday card. You are missed lovely Chris.

First frost tonight...as we frantically cut and gather what is left of the garden to bring it in doors, We can't help but think of Chris and her garden. How she hated the frost and the lengths she would go to to keep it at bay. She saw and surrounded herself with beauty be it people, flowers or things (refined or common). It seems so unreal that she is not here to cheer us on as we win small victories and hit our goals. She took such pride and pleasure in seeing her garden grow and seeing those she loved flower and reveal the hidden potential that she saw and fostered in those she loved.

You still touch us every day. Thank you for the love, the friendship and the understanding. Things will never be the same but we are better, stronger, more compassionate and more aware because of you.

Chris was a bright light, a tall poppy, whatever metaphor that means extra special plus. She was passionate and authentic, with a strong voice and presence. I am stunned and so sad to hear of her passing.

Heartbroken to read this in today's NYTimes. Chris gave me my first professional job 40 years ago. We kept up off and on throughout the years. I valued her guidance and wisdom.
