CHUN CHEN Obituary

CHEN--Chun S., MD, died after complex illness at Cornell Medical Center on January 28, 20l4. He was a beloved husband, son, brother and uncle. Dr. Chen was a renowned scholar, teacher, and friend to all who knew him. Dr Chen was widely published in his academic field. He was an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, and an invited lecturer in his field throughout the world. Dr. Chen was an indefatigable surgeon and physician who was educated in Brazil and the United States. Those of us who knew him in and out of the Mount Sinai Medical Center consider ourselves better for the experience. Rebecca Nachamie, MD

Never had the opportunity to work with you at the Elmhurst Hospital.
I heard that you had already a brilliant career in Brazil as a Skull Base Neurosurgeon with a textbook published in this subject.
We did speak few times about mutual patient and your approach was very conservative in the favor of patients always. When I heard of your passing I was shocked and saddened to hear that such a bright mind went too soon.
I know very sure we will meet next to God Almighty who will look after your soul for eternity through infinity!

Dr.Chen was for us an excellent doctor and exceptional human being, who always treated our case in a caring way, bringing peace of mind and comfort in very difficult moments. Our experience at Mount Sinai allowed us to see how appreciated and loved he was by those surrounding him. He was our doctor, our friend and we will miss him. We will always keep him in our prayers and we here express our condolences to all his family.
