DANIEL AMSTER Obituary

AMSTER--Daniel, aged 85, passed away from complications of Alzheimer's Disease. Beloved husband of 56 years of Lucille (Jacobs) Amster, dearest brother of Ethel Levine (Harris) and Ruth Amster, devoted uncle of Jack and Norman Levine. Veteran of World War II in the Pacific Theater. Graduate of John Marshall College and Rutgers University Law School. Member of the New Jersey Bar for sixty years. Resident of many years of HoHoKus, New Jersey and Palm Beach, Florida. Former Democratic County Chairman in Bergen County for over six years during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. Beloved by all who knew him including friends and relatives, as well as the aides, nurses and doctors who cared for him at the Jewish Home at Rockleigh. Donations may be sent to Jewish Home at Rockleigh, 10 Link Drive, Rockleigh, New Jersey. Funeral Services at Robert Schoem's Menorah Chapel on Route 4 in Paramus, New Jersey on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 11:00am.

My Condolences to Lucille & Family.
Lucille & Danny were very instrumental
in supporting and using our Catering Cmpany, Insley Caterers Ltd.. Their graciousness to us, and their guests will be eternally remembered.

Lucille and family,
Danny held a very special place in our hearts. We remember sharing many happy moments with him. He will be missed. Danny will be joining his good friend, Gloria, who passed away on May 13. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
